Angelina Jolie has discovered her side of action heroine with movies like Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Wanted or Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and the actress will return to this genre with “Those who wish me dead.” Warner Bros. released the trailer for the film, in which Jolie shows that she is still in shape.
In “Those Who Wish Me Dead,” the actress plays Hannah Faber, the watchtower manager and survival expert, who must protect a witness to a murder. The protagonist, who continues to suffer the loss of three lives she could not save in a fire, appears in the trailer watching when she sees a 12-year-old bloodied boy after his father was attacked.
“My father told me that if something happened, look for someone you can trust. Do you trust yourself? ” Asks the boy, enchanted by Finn Little. The boy is being watched by two killers played by Nicholas Hoult and Aidan Gillen and whom Jolie’s character will face in a film that, judging by the preview, promises a lot of action.
Those Who Want My Death is directed by Taylor Sheridan from a screenplay by Sheridan himself with Charles Leavitt and Michael Koryta, the author of the book on which the film is based. The cast is completed by Jon Bernthal, Tyler Perry, Jake Weber, Tory Kittles, Lora Martinez-Cunningham and James Jordan, among others. The feature film will hit US theaters on May 14, 2021. The international premiere of the film is scheduled to begin on May 7, 2021.
In addition to the soon-to-be release of Those Who Wish Me Dead, Jolie will appear in The Eternals, a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie starring Thena and Every Note Played, in which she will share photos with Christoph Waltz.
