UFC Fight Night 186 received another blow.
The women’s straw fight between Angela Hill and Ashley Yoder scheduled for tonight’s main book has been canceled.
Two people with knowledge of the situation informed MMA Junkie on Saturday about the cancellation, but asked to remain anonymous. One person said the cancellation was the result of a positive COVID-19 test from Yoder’s camp. A UFC press release later stated that it was due to “COVID-19 protocols”.
The promotion wants to book the match for UFC Fight Night 187 again on March 13th.
The fight is the third UFC Fight Night 186 canceled due to COVID-19. Raoni Barcelos vs. Marcelo Rojo and William Knight vs. Alonzo Menifield were also canceled during the fight week.
UFC Fight Night 186 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Card feeds on ESPN +.
