Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper enjoy a virtual hangout with John Mayer after hosting CNN NYE in Times Square
Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper have put a social distance in their post-broadcast party this New Year.
The dynamic duo is back in the saddle this year hosting the live New Year’s Eve show for CNN in Times Square.
And after they worked, they had a virtual gabfest, with none other than music John Mayer, 43, Andy revealed on his Instagram page.

“So … after the show we went downtown for snacks and a Kiki w / @johnmayer. (AC refused another drop of tequila; I didn’t), Andy wrote.
“I knew it was going to be a weird night, but I had so much fun hanging out virtually with everyone and I always had the best time with Anderson,” he said.
Along with an image of the virtual chat, Andy wrote: “Thank you very much this morning and I hope we can reset in 2021. (And yes, I’m a little hungover.)”
Anderson and Andy were in Times Square as usual for the CNN show, but unlike in previous years, there were no smaller crowds due to the coronavirus block.

Andy has been a close friend of John for a long time, even traveling to Brazil to be with the singer on his 40th birthday while touring there.
Although he and Andy joked about romantic rumors, John is right and went out with stars like Jessica Simpson, Katy Perry and Jennifer Aniston.
“Have you ever been with a girl who made you want to give up the rest of your life?” he told Playboy about Jessica, whom he also called “sexual napalm.”

Andy has a one-year-old son named Ben, whom he raises on his own, while Anderson co-parents his son, Wyatt, with his ex-boyfriend Benjamin Maisani.
Until three years ago, Anderson co-hosted New Year’s Eve shows with Kathy Griffin, who continued a conflict with Andy.
Kathy landed in a huge controversy in 2017, after she played in a photo shoot in which she jokingly picked up a fake fake, with Donald Trump’s head.
During the rage, Anderson called her a “disgusting” joke and CNN fired her, after which Andy slipped into her place and has been there ever since.
