Andrew Giuliani is considering running for governor of New York

Get ready for Andrew vs Andrew.

Andrew Giuliani – a former Trump aide and the son of Rudy Giuliani – is considering running for New York governor next year, he told The Post on Wednesday.

Giuliani would agree with Governor Andrew Cuomo, the three-office Democrat currently embroiled in a deluge of sexual misconduct scandals and his association with nursing homes.

“Yes, I am considering running for governor,” said the 35-year-old Republican. There is a chance for Republicans to take back New York. Absolutely.”

A Giuliani candidacy would face two of New York’s most prominent political families in the 2022 gubernatorial race.

Cuomo is the son of former Gov. Mario Cuomo, who was elected for three terms, while Giuliani’s father, Rudy, was mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001.

Giuliani condemned Andrew Cuomo for his soft-crime politics and predicted that his imminent tax hike for the wealthy would drive residents further out of the state.

“We’ve seen what Cuomo’s leadership has brought to New York – a massive exodus to Florida,” he said. “Cuomo and the state assembly and senate are encouraging residents and businesses to leave with these tax increases.

“We need a governor who is going to encourage people to come to New York – not leave.”

Under the Trump administration, Giuliani worked as director of the Office of Public Liaison.

The younger Giuliani said he would soon meet in Albany with GOP chairman Nick Langworthy of the state and Republican leaders of the province from across the state. He was inspired to consider running after GOP donors asked him to perform, he said.

The wannabe police officer also said that if he flee he would reach for the “Rudy Giuliani script” – a nod to his father’s zero-tolerance policy on crime and a reputation for keeping taxes and spending low.

“It worked for New York City,” said Andrew Giuliani.

He also probed his potential incumbent opponent for selling out to left-wing lawmakers when it comes to the still-to-be-approved state budget to avoid impeachment.

“He will do everything he can to stay in power and he has just proved it,” he said.
