An evasive coyote saw him roaming Central Park in New York

CENTRAL PARK, Manhattan (WABC) – A coyote was seen in Central Park last week – a rare sighting of the wild canine that had been seen earlier in January.

The wild canine was seen roaming around last month near the Water Conservatory, a pond on the east side of the park, near 74th Street.

The Coyotes have lived in New York for the past 30 years, but it is known that only one lives in Central Park.

The New York Parks Department says anyone who sees the animal should stay calm and contact Park staff if it looks aggressive or fearless.
