An Egyptian woman arrested for baking pornographic pastries

She was accused of spreading food pornography.

An Egyptian woman was briefly detained for allegedly baking sexually suggestive cakes that were eaten at a Cairo birthday party.

Prior to her arrest, photos of pastries – which include cupcakes garnished with genitals and ice cream in the form of lingerie – went viral online.

According to The Guardian, the main Islamic body, Dar al-ifta, considered the risky garments an affront to Islam.

“Posting blank photos, candy, holograms and products with sexual expressions and fallen revelations is legitimately forbidden and legal,” they wrote on Facebook.

The baker, who was released on $ 319 bail, denied cooking the scandalously dressed desserts.

Authorities are also investigating several women who attended the b-day bash, as well as the state-of-the-art sports club that cast the wild sun.

Human rights lawyer Negad El Borai came to the defense of the victims, posting on Twitter that the state he wanted to “eliminate any space for personal freedom in Egypt under the pretext of protecting the values of the Egyptian family.”

It is not the first time that Islamic authorities have arrested a woman for “indecent” late creations. Iran’s Instagram star Sahar Tabar was recently sentenced to a decade in prison after taking selfies, so she looks like “Zombie Angelina Jolie”.
