Among us just released on the Nintendo Switch in December, but the game has already received a pretty significant discount on the platform! From now until February 28, the game will be available for only $ 3.50, down from the normal price of $ 4.99. Discounts are quite common on the Nintendo Switch eShop, but it’s still surprising to see a title as big as Among us reduced so quickly, making the sale quite noticeable. The game has become one of the biggest surprise hits of 2020, so there has never been a better time for Nintendo fans to see what it’s all about!
While Among us was just made available on Switch at the end of last year, the game has been available on other platforms since 2018. The game has not been able to find a major audience for some time, but Among us found a significantly larger audience after Twitch streamers discovered it. The InnerSloth developer was thinking of creating a sequel for Among us, but changed plans after the new success of the game. Instead, new features for the sequel will now arrive in the current game, including support for multiple languages and the addition of new content, such as the long-awaited Airship map.
Those interested in buying Among us on Switch you should note that the game requires a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, unlike other third-party titles such as Fortnite. This could disable potential buyers who haven’t already signed up for the Switch’s online service, as it makes it much more expensive than other versions of the game, even with the discount (the service costs $ 19.99 for a year). However, those who already subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online will be able to play the game both portable and docked, so there are some advantages in the Switch version. The Switch version is also able to play crossover with other versions of the game.
