Amanda Mena is following her dreams, this time on American Idol

Dominican-born teenager Amanda Mena continues her music dreams by shocking the judges of the American Idol reality show.

Mena also performed a vocal and piano version of The Golden Beat from The Beatles.

After Mena finished her audition, the jury of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan at number three shouted “You’re going to Hollywood.”

Perry told the 18-year-old artist that she was “unique” after Luke Bryan told Amanda that “they never did that.”

The participant received a gold ticket which she distributed through her account on the social network Instagram.

With this ticket, she accesses the next round in Hollywood and based on her upcoming presentation, those responsible for assessing the talent of each singer will decide whether to enter the group of 24 to 36 participants who will go to the semifinals.

In 2018, she won a Golden Buzzer from Mel B that took her straight to the semifinals of America’s Got Talent, when she shared her story about how music helped her overcome aggression and singing “You Make Me to feel like a natural woman ”by Aretha Franklin.
