Amanda Kloots posted a photo from last Christmas that she spent on Thursday with her late husband Nick Cordero.
Cordero died tragically earlier this year, at the age of 41, after suffering complications from COVID-19, an ordeal his wife regularly documented with Instagram followers.
Despite enduring such a painful year, Kloots, 38, gave a positive note while reflecting on 2020 with more photos from happier times.

“We were so excited to be together for the holidays”: Amanda Kloots posted a photo from last Christmas she spent with her late husband Nick Cordero on Thursday
“Merry Christmas to all,” Amanda began in the long legend with a heart emoji. “I know this Christmas is different for many of us. It was a year full of losses in many ways. I’ve found that focusing on what I do helps me tremendously.
“I start the day with a positive thought and go to bed counting my blessings. It’s not always easy, but it always helps. Gratitude creates optimism. I would say, I don’t want time away. Time is precious, even when it is difficult.
“I love this photo of my family last Christmas. It was, without a doubt, my favorite Christmas I remember. Elvis was only six months old, our little Christmas present from God. We were so excited to be together for the holidays.
Amanda regularly keeps the memories of her late husband on her Instagram account since his death in July.

“I like that Nick is with me in many places; the ocean, a beautiful vase, an urn still in my hand. Nick went to Stephanie for all my jewelry, he knew he liked her drawings! My wedding and engagement ring are from her, so this ring is very special to me.
Kloots tied the knot with Cordero in 2017 and they met their only son, Elvis Eduardo, one, last year.

Cordero was diagnosed with coronavirus in March, spending the last three months of his life in a hospital.
Doctors amputated his leg due to a blood clot caused by complications with the virus in April and gave him a tracheostomy tube in May, after they developed “holes in his lungs”.
Cordero died on July 5, 2020. Kloots wrote on Instagram at the time: “God has another angel in heaven now. My dear husband died this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth.
