Amanda Kloots is preparing for her first Christmas without her late husband Nick Cordero

This will be Amanda Kloots’ first Christmas without her late husband Nick Cordero, who tragically died of COVID-19 complications in July.

Less than a week before Christmas Day, the fitness coach took some time to reflect on the only Christmas the couple ended up spending with their son.

And he captured the love and joy of a family vacation together in a wonderful photo of the Broadway star that ties his 18-month-old boy, Elvis.

Cordero radiated absolute pride and joy in the adorable moment that was taken about three months before he was diagnosed with coronavirus in March 2020.

“One of my favorite pictures of Nick and Elvis,” Kloots, 38, shared it with emotion.

– It was last Christmas. My family flew to South Carolina and had a Hallmark-style Christmas at @montagepalmettobluff. ‘

She ended the post by adding: “I will never forget her. Hug your dear close boys.

Earlier this month, Kloots shared her electronic holiday card: a photo of her wearing a “live your life” shirt while holding Elvis in her arms.

“Don’t let them kill your light, not without a fight. Live your life. God bless you this holiday season. Have a safe and healthy new year! she wrote in the caption.

She ended the message with a direct reference to the fact that it is the first Christmas since Cordero’s death.

“The holidays will be different for us this year, but I believe that the holiday books bring joy, happiness and hope. We could all use a little of this!

She revealed that she and her brother Todd wanted to make them feel at home in Los Angeles earlier because they hoped they could visit the Ohio family for the holidays.

“I knew this could be a difficult thing to do, so I chose to do it happily with my brother,” she admitted of her emotional journey.

‘I have decided not to question anything this year. We hung every sentimental ornament and all our socks. Some of them don’t make sense at all, but it’s ok. For me, right now, it’s okay. I think in a weird way it makes me feel like Nick is still here.

Kloots also feels festive this holiday season, teaming up with her sister Anna Kloots for Sister Kloots’ 25 Christmas days.

In those 25 days, the ladies came up with a series of fun activities that everyone can do in the safety of their own homes, while getting into the holiday spirit.

Just days after Sister Kloots announced Christmas, the fitness guru shared a photo with her father and son sleeping together, with the caption “A year ago. My boys sleeping together. I loved finding them like that, all of them immersed in nap.

She continued to be amazed that some people believe that the COVID-19 pandemic “is a farce … something that will not happen to them.”

“COVID doesn’t care how old you are or if you are a new father and husband,” she wrote, referring directly to Cordero’s loss: husband, father, son and friend.

More than five months have passed since Cordero died after a long battle with complications of COVID-19.

During his fight for life, the star Bullets Over Broadway suffered from pneumonia, blood clotting problems he forced doctors to amputate his right leg and severe lung injuries, among other extreme health difficulties.

Cordero finally died at the age of 41, on July 5, after 95 days in a hospital in Los Angeles.
