Alpha in trouble for the theme “Singapore”; the urban exponent demands, of course, plagiarism

Despite the fact that the song “Singapore” which appeared in May 2020, which has over 207 million views on YouTube and a remix with international artists, the song is not counted before the National Copyright Office (Onda), with a certification, to establish that the song has been recorded.

Therefore, a young exponent of urban music, originally from Jarabacoa, sued the singer Enmanuel Herrera Batista known in music as El Alfa for violating copyright law 65-00.

The plagiarism process of the song “Singapore” also includes the music producer Alfa, Chael Eugenio Betances Alejo, and according to Delwinfer Antonio Vargas, better known as “Chilean RD”, the song is his.

“I sent him the song a cappella singing on the video,” Chilean RD said on Power 103.7 FM’s “El Mornign Show,” referring to Alfa’s producer Chael. “When I heard the song, manin, I didn’t sleep that night. Chael saw her and immediately blocked me from Instagram. “

He said that he tried in various ways to communicate with Enmanuel Herrera (El Alfa), but it was in vain, because even some influential people of the genre refused to talk to him about it because they had no problems with called “Chief”.

“I threw Alofoke (Santiago Matías) over the number he has in his promotion account, and the answer I got was that he can’t support us with that, because he and Alfa are too friendly and that hurts. the relationship they have, because the same, that Dotolul Năstra said he can’t ”.

The legal procedure is carried out by lawyer Ramón Cabral who tried through the National Copyright Office (ONDA) to reach an agreement with Alfa that did not appear after being summoned by the bailiff on two occasions.

“We are registering the problem, we have our registration certificate,” Cabral said, in the same way, he assured that they have the “no registration” certificate issued by ONDA.

“No one registered. Onda issues us with a certification duly stamped by them, attesting that this issue has never been registered. Neither the lyrics, nor the rhythm, nor the name “.

In this regard, the lawyer said that his client is not interested in looking for “sound” that would hurt anyone, because, in his opinion, there is a “legal” reaction.

“Because if we had invented a case here, then Chileno could be sued. It is a job that is done seriously, it is a team of lawyers and nothing irresponsible is done “, said Ramón Cabral at the Power 103 station.

Chilean RD said that it all started when a contest was announced in 2020 through social networks in which three new talents would participate, the young man from Jarabacoa took advantage of this opportunity by sending the song composed and produced by him. However, he was blocked from social media by Chael, and on Monday Alpha recorded the song, released it and performed remixes with international artists.

For this reason, he decided to go to court so that his copyright would be recognized and paid for the economic benefits obtained by the subject.
