Allison Janney says her mother’s producers were shocked to learn that the star was wearing a wig for the entire duration of the show, when she first revealed her short, silver outfits.

The actress, who recently gave up long, fake hair for her natural hair, said she surprised her longtime colleagues when she showed up to record the eighth and final season of the sitcom with her new “do”.

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night, the 61-year-old star said: “The producers see me like this and say to me:“ What did you do ?! How are we going to do …? You should have asked us before did you do this to your hair ?! “‘

“Right now, I’m practically dating, my last love is Rip on Yellowstone,” she said of Cole Hauser’s character in the Paramount Network drama.
