Allison Janney said goodbye to the TV series Mom, after CBS announced on Thursday that it will end the sitcom this year after eight seasons.

The 61-year-old actress, who plays Bonnie in the hit show, described her mother as “one of the great honors of my life” in a candid post on Instagram shortly.

The American show, which deals with the issue of recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, was canceled after the sudden departure of lead Anna Faris in September last year.
