PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Allegheny County Health Department reports 1,601 new cases of coronavirus and 22 additional deaths in the past 48 hours.
The county did not provide an update on Friday.
Of the new cases reported, 1,224 are confirmed from 4,551 PCR tests. There are 377 probable cases.
The health department says the new cases range from 5 months to 104 years, with 49 being the average age. Positive test dates range from November 18 to January 1. It is said that 122 positive tests are more than a week old.
Of the 22 newly reported deaths, two were 60 years old, four were 70 years old, ten were 80 years old and six were 90 years old, 13 of the 22 deaths were associated with long-term care facilities. long. Death dates ranged from December 10 to 27.
There have been 3,219 hospitalizations in Allegheny County since the outbreak began.
The death toll at the county level has risen to 977.
There have been a total of 55,410 cases of coronavirus among residents of Allegheny County since the pandemic began.
