Alleged drug crashes in La Mosquitia; there is a detainee

On Tuesday, in the early hours of the morning, the Honduran Armed Forces secured an alleged drug plane, which crashed and fell in the La Mosquitia region, in Gracias a Dios.

According to reports from FFAAIt was 1:25 a.m. when the drug plane entered Honduran airspace, so the military activated the air shield, following the security protocols established in The law of airspace.

The armed forces then tracked the aircraft by eye contact and, upon realizing that it had been intercepted, the pilot AIRCRAFT tried to land in a sector where it eventually crashed.

When it tried to land, the plane collided with several trees, later due to the spilled fuel there was a small fire.

Until the place came Special forces of the Armed Forces, who were confronted by crossfire with subjects helping the crashed plane. Following the exchange of fire, one of the military helicopters underwent several perforations.

After the confrontation, the army managed to capture a subject who was trying to escape. According to the report, this person is originally from Maraita, Francisco Morazán, and was part of a group of 60 men who were in the vicinity of the landing area to unload the drugs.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported, despite the confrontation and the accident involving the plane that burned 90%.

Operations continue to grow, establishing a security perimeter to continue reconnaissance. So far it is not possible to determine what type and how much drugs worn. Among the discoveries on the spot, a GPS was confiscated indicating the coordinates where the ship was to land.
