All Publix pharmacies in Florida take COVID photos

LAKELAND, Florida – Publix opens its online reservation system for COVID-19 vaccination schedules at all 730 Florida pharmacies in the store, the company announced Thursday.

What you need to know

  • COVID vaccinations will be available at all Publix pharmacies in Florida
  • Publix has 730 of these sites nationwide
  • Appointments can be scheduled starting Friday at 7 p.m.
  • Reservations are accepted for people who are at least 65 years old

Scheduling starts at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday.

“We are excited to bring scheduling opportunities to every pharmacy in our Florida store,” Publix CEO Todd Jones said in a statement Thursday. “We know how important this vaccine is to the people we serve, and we are grateful that we can expand our ability to help our communities in this time of need.”

Vaccinations are offered to people over the age of 65, while stocks last. Appointments are required and can be scheduled through the Publix online booking system. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or Publix Pharmacy.

The online booking system usually opens every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning for vaccination schedules at Florida Publix pharmacies, as long as the company continues to receive vaccine doses from state and federal governments and except in unforeseen circumstances. Appointments may not be available in every county during every scheduling opportunity. Customers with appointments for the second dose are not affected by any variation in scheduling opportunities and should arrive at the COVID-19 vaccine check-in area on the scheduled date and time.
