Algeria Domínguez de León, the mother of the famous Cuban troubadour Silvio Rodríguez Domínguez, died on Wednesday, according to relatives on social networks, who did not specify the cause of death.
“Although I knew your departure was approaching, you are never ready to lose a mother, I could not say goodbye, but I keep your love and memories of everything we lived together. You were not only my mother, of Silvio, of Maria, you were the mother of your grandchildren, of all our friends, acquaintances, you always had every heart that came into your life “, said Silvio’s sister, Anabell López, on Facebook.

The troubadour had dedicated two of his recordings to his parents. The first, “Rodríguez”, in honor of his father, Dagoberto Rodríguez, and the second, “Domínguez”, in Algeria. The latter has on the cover a photo of his mother at 18 years old.
She also sings a song with her son for the same phonogram.
