Alex Morgan and his family tested positive for COVID-19; claims to have been infected while on vacation in California

The striker of the American women’s football team, Alex Morgan, gave positive results at COVID-19, the player herself confirmed through social networks.

“Unfortunately, my family and I closed the year 2020, finding out that we contracted coronavirus while we were in California over the holidays,” said Morgan, a native of Southern California.

“We are all in a good mood and are recovering well. Once our isolation is complete, I will follow the protocols to join the national team,” he added.

The United States will announce the list for its annual training camp in January on Wednesday.

Morgan, 31, spent the last half of 2020 with WSL’s Tottenham Hotspur before announcing last month that he would return to Orlando Pride in 2021.
