Colomé will be paid $ 5 million in 2021, with a $ 5.5 million mutual option in 2022 or a $ 1.25 million purchase, a source told Feinsand.
Colomé, 32, could play a closer role for Minnesota after Taylor Rogers and Sergio Romo shared the closing duties in 2020. Rogers remains at the club, but Romo is a free agent.
Colomé recorded 0.81 ERA with 0.94 WHIP and 12 saves in 22 1/3 innings last season for the White Sox, who signed a four-year contract closer to Liam Hendriks. The right-handed Colomé has recorded 138 saves since the beginning of 2016, ranking third in MLB behind Kenley Jansen and Edwin Díaz at the time.
Over eight major league seasons with the Rays, Mariners and White Sox, Colomé recorded a 2.95 ERA with 385 hits and 140 walks in 424 innings.
