Into the the great tradition of amazing airline safety videos, Alaska Airlines has found a way to combine a 1980s pop hit and some smooth dance moves with important information about flying during a pandemic.

The airline released the Alaska Safety Dance video earlier this week. It is set to the tone of the toes in Dance Safety Safety, difficult to synthesize for men without hats, but with a few updated lyrics, such as “we can fly if you want / we can leave your house behind.”

The video features a dancing pilot and flight attendants, all wearing masks. Includes information on how cabin air is refreshed every two minutes, and aircraft use hospital-level HEPA filters.

“You can emphasize the importance of safety and continue to have fun with it,” video director Warren Fu said in a statement from Alaska Airlines.

One of the most important offers in the video is that Alaska Airlines will only welcome masked passengers. And that you should wash your hands. A lot.

For comparison, you can watch the original music video Men Without Hats completely trippy, a pillar in the first glory days of MTV.

Health officials urge everyone to remain socially distant, as COVID-19 cases continue to devastate many parts of the world, but people intending to fly should be informed of the expected risks and safety procedures. Here’s our guide to keep you safe when you fly.
