Alarms sounded in Abu Qrenat, near Dimona, in southern Israel, early Thursday morning, the IDF spokesman’s unit reported. Residents across the country, including central Israel and Jerusalem, reported hearing “loud explosions” that “shook houses.”
The blast was caused by a Petriot rocket launched from the Modi’in area, west of Ramallah, at an object in the sky. pic.twitter.com/4YbL03AejC– Palestine Dialogue Network (@paldf) April 21, 2021
According to unconfirmed reports, the explosion was the result of a patriotic battery that responded to a rocket launched at Israel. The Patriot was reportedly launched near Dimona and intercepted a rocket over the city of Modi’in. However, it is not clear at this time where the rocket was launched.
