After openly mocking Apple for omitting the necessary charger from the box of the new iPhone 12 line, the CEO of Xiaomi confirmed that the company will also give up the charger on the future Mi 11 smartphone.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun confirmed on the Chinese social networking site Weibo and was first seen by The Verge, that the electronics company would give up the electric brick in Mi 11, motivating environmental concerns. Jun goes on to say that users already have a surplus of chargers and that the charger would be “canceled” for the Mi 11 device.

It comes just weeks after Xiaomi taunted Apple for the same act. Shortly after Apple launched the iPhone 12 line, Xiaomi wrote on Twitter that it “left nothing out of the box” regarding its own Mi 10T.
Xiaomi Mi 11 will be announced at a press event on Monday, December 28.
