After slaughtering its entire mink population, Denmark will dig millions to prevent pollution, the Danish parliament agreed on Sunday. Denmark, the world’s largest exporter of mink fur, Denmark slaughtered more than 15 million mammals in November after government officials reported carrying a mutant strain of the virus. Four million mines that have not been incinerated will be exhumed after six months, after any chance of infection, but before they can affect groundwater, according to Bloomberg News.
