For 31 days, Ludwig Ahgren’s flow has been in operation all day every day. He wasn’t awake all the time, but he and his moderators made sure he became one of Twitch’s most consistent and comforting presences – though one that probably has a minor mental and physical influence on everyone involved. From the beginning, a stopwatch counts down to zero, but every time someone gives a subscription, it adds ten seconds to the clock. Now Ahgren has more subscriptions than anyone else in Twitch history.

He officially broke the record today. Previous, Twitch transformed Mixer transformed again Twitch megastar Tyler “Ninja” Blevins held the record with 269,154 subscriptions – a fact that he achieved at the height of its relevance in 2018. As of this publication, Ahgren had over 271,000 subscriptions.

“Here! You were here,” Ahgren said while his subscription counter broke Blevins’ record. “This is the new Twitch record for most subscribers of all time. Hell, it was crazy. ”

He went on to call a “friend,” who turned out to be Blevins. Except it wasn’t Blevins at all – instead, it was a soundtrack with voice clips, which Ahgren used to make it look like Blevins reacted by being comical with him. It was a little good.

On Twitter, the real Blevini congratulated Ahgren.

“The recordings are meant to be broken,” Blevins wrote. “I would be lying if I said [I] It was not a little sad, but congratulations [Ludwig] when holding the new sub-record on Twitch. ”

Today is the last day of Ahgren’s subscription marathon. He decided to set a deadline because otherwise he could have continued indefinitely. Initially, he did not expect to last anywhere around this period, nor did he intend to pass Peak Ninja in the marathon that is life. That being said, Ahgren had a lot of factors working in his favor. He started the subatonic as an already rich Twitch star, successfully creating additional success, A New York Times article, and all sorts of additional coverages and speeches.

Today, in particular, was a special day; in addition to the standard rules behind Ahgren subaton – which has become such an accessory that everyone on Twitch knows about it – him he advertised on the last day as a charitable subscription with the stated purpose of breaking Blevins’ record. Until 21:00 PST, he donates $ 5 per subscription to The Humane Society and St Jude’s. So this result is far from unexpected.

However, it is a heck of a record, especially considering that no one but Blevins came close (streamer in third place, RanbooLive, surpassed 114,387 in March). That’s from a man who he almost lost a fight with a refrigerator just a few weeks ago. Truly, a story of return for centuries.
