With the rest Final Fantasy VII being remastered, reorganized or restored, it would be stupid for the computer-animated link film not to do its job. Today Sony Pictures Home Entertainment announced the remastering of 4K Ultra HD Final Fantasy VII: Children of Advent, complete with HDR support and Dolby Atmos sound in two languages. So elegant.
The new 4K version is a remastered version of 2009 Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete, which added 25 minutes to the running time of the original film, revised a ton of scenes and delved a little deeper into Cloud development. All this, remastered in 4K with HDR10 and new English and Japanese audio tracks.
The release includes two discs. Here’s what’s on them:
4K Ultra HD disc
- New remastered in 4K, with HDR10
- New and English Dolby Atmos audio tracks + 5.1 English and Japanese audio audio
Blu-Ray
- Feature presented in HD
- On the Road to a Smile – Episode: Denzel Animated film
- Reminiscent of FINAL FANTASY VII Original Story Digest
- Reminiscent of the FINAL FANTASY VII compilation Story Digest
- Legacy FINAL FANTASY VII Featurette

In short, nice men flying through the air with swords will be a little nicer on June 8th.
