Tom Selleck, the famous star of the series “Magnum, PI” and “Blue Bloods”, left a $ 2020 tip in an Italian restaurant in New York, apparently emulating the lively year.
Actor Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Selleck’s son in the series NYPD “Blue blood”, shared the news on Twitter. The bill was $ 204.68.
“I found out that my father was on television [Tom Selleck] generously accepted # 2020TipChallenge at Elios (restaurant) on the Upper East Side! I love you dad, “Wahlberg wrote. “I did not start it, but I am proud to be part of it. TO THOSE WHO GAVE EVEN THE LOWEST ADDITIONAL AMOUNT THIS YEAR, THANK YOU ”.
Wahlberg shared photos with the advice and a Selleck note left for his server. “For Elios, I honor the ‘challenge of challenge’ of my friend Donnie Wahlberg with mine sincere hope for a better 2020. Thank you all “, says the note from Selleck, who in that series plays the role of New York police commissioner.
Wahlberg told the magazine people that Selleck “never mentioned them” and that the two “made three dinner scenes [Sangre Azul] since he did it and never told me ”.
The “challenge” to leave a tip of $ 2,020 or some other very generous amount seems to have appeared a year ago in Alpena, Michigan, where waitress Danielle Franzoni received a tip of that amount from a client along with a note that read : “Happy New Year” and “Council Challenge 2020”, according Alpena News.
“Franzoni, 31, received the tip while working on Sunday at the Thunder Bay River restaurant in Alpena. The credit card receipt said “Happy New Year. Challenge Tip 2020 ”” https://t.co/Z92K3wuiVD pic.twitter.com/QArhfQmZwb
