Actor Anthony Hopkins greets Columbia to the beat of Elvis Crespo’s meringue – People – Culture

American actor Anthony Hopkins, 83, posted a video on his account on Tuesday, March 2 Twitter dancing to the merengue song “Something in front of you fascinates me”, by Puerto Rican singer Elvis Crespo.

“Tuesday’s songs” was what the celebrity wrote next to the recording in which he is seen smiling and moving his arms to the sound of music.

What surprised internet users was that at one point during the dance, the artist said “I’m Colombian” (“I’m Colombian”), before clapping and continuing with his meringue choreography.

Hopkins, who appeared dressed in a “guayabera” with flowers, red shorts, black tennis shoes and sunglasses, has been married since 2003 to Stella Arroyave, a 64-year-old Colombian who was born in the city Popayan.

The video of the winner of an Oscar as the best actor for the film “Silence of the Lambs” already has over 1.2 million views and 88 thousand “I like”, just three hours after publication.

Although many netizens applauded the actor’s “forbidden steps”, others pointed out that the play is a Dominican meringue.
