In turn, Omar Sy, is the actor who gives life to the main character of this miniseries which is directed and written by George Kay (“Criminal”, “Killing Eve”). The story is inspired by the 19th century literary character, Arsène Lupine.

The official synopsis of the Netflix miniseries explains that “the story of ‘Lupine’ follows Assane Diop, a person who grew up with the stories of the famous literary thief Arsène Lupine, a thief with white gloves and one of the most famous people of French culture. When Assane Diop discovers that her father’s death exceeds what she believed, she becomes involved in a network of criminals that will make her pursue her great passion: theft.
Also, this incredible miniseries has five episodes and promises to run its second season at the end of 2021.
“It’s hard not to fall into the nets of its protagonist, Assane Diop (Omar Sy), with that first and daring episode. In which a robbery of a distinguished necklace is launched right in the Louvre,” explains Custodio Guerrero, film critic in “Sensacine ”.
“Each chapter becomes different due to a series of factors, whether it’s a kidnapping or a simple robbery. Everything revolves around a central plot and a mystery that will unfold during this first part,” says the critic.
