Residents of the Las Lomitas district of Olanchito, Yoro, are alarmed after flooding due to the Monga River overflow.
About 30 homes in the area have been affected so far, and firefighters have moved into the area to evacuate.
According to residents, the river overflowed at the bottom due to constant rains caused by the cold air mass affecting the country.

“This neighborhood was not flooded, but after Eta and Iota it became one of the most vulnerable in the area,” explained one of the residents.
According to Rolando Ruiz, the second lieutenant of the fire department, the affected families were evacuated.
“Around 2:00 in the morning, heavy rains fell in the area and caused the river to rise and overflow at the bottom.”
Those affected were transferred to a community center in the community to protect their lives.
The 80 families of this colony must remain attentive to the conditions that this phenomenon leaves in the country.
