President Luis Abinader will attend the inauguration of Puerto Rico’s new governor, Pedro Pierluisi, next Saturday, January 2.
The head of state will depart this morning on a private flight to arrive in San Juan, Puerto Rico after 9:00 a.m., according to a statement from the Presidency’s Information and Press Office.
The president will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez; the administrative minister of the presidency, José Ignacio Paliza; his assistants Eylin Beltrán and Mercedes Pichardo, as well as the head of the Assistant Corps, General Celin Rubio.
Abinader and his companions plan to return on the same Saturday afternoon, according to the press release.
