The president will be accompanied by presidential minister Lisandro Macarrulla and other officials at the beginning of what they described as “the largest housing construction program in the nation’s history.”
While Abinader will preside over that act, other activities will take place simultaneously in Los Alcarrizos, Azua, Santo Domingo Este, Higüey, Hato Nuevo, Sabana Perdida, La Romana, Pedro Brand and San Pedro de Macorís, chaired by the provincial governors.
As reported by the Government, the plan includes the construction of 62 thousand homes in 4 years, with a direct impact on about 310 thousand citizens.
In the first phase, 11,000 houses will be built simultaneously in different locations in the country.
The Ministry of the Presidency directs the plan through the Residential Housing Intervention, Improvement and Production Program.
PNVFF is a program of accessibility to decent and adequate housing, intended for Dominican families from social segments with great difficulties in purchasing them, thus reducing the housing deficit and guaranteeing safety, education and family health, by developing urban intervention processes.

The processing and selection of beneficiaries is carried out by the Institute of Housing (INVI), through Progresando Con Solidaridad (PROSOLI), the Ministry of Women, with the support of the Single Beneficiary System (SIUBEN) and the Unit for reorganizing the URBE neighborhood and environment and financing through financial institutions. of cooperatives.
