Santo Domingo, RD
Luis Abinader assured this Sunday that, with the same criteria that have chosen an independent judiciary, the members of the Chamber of Accounts will choose.
At a meeting of the Political Commission of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), the president said that, with the transparency that the judges of the high court were elected, this is how the members of the Chamber of Accounts will be selected.
Like José Ignacio Paliza, the president of the PRM, Abinader said that all party colleagues will have an opportunity in his administration.
In his speech, the head of state also addressed some of the objectives achieved by the first presidential term of the PRM.
Abinader also indicated that, in May, the “Get over it” program will double the amount delivered in March with the “Eat first” program.
He also took the opportunity to recognize the former President of the Republic and a member of the PRM, Hipólito Mejía.
In addition to Abinader and the PRM president, the meeting was also attended by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña.
Likewise, the party’s vice-president, Roberto Fulcar, and the general secretary, Carolina Mejía, among other officials.
