President Luis Abinader, together with Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez, led a luncheon with several accredited ambassadors from the country interested in cooperating in the project to build hospitals in Haiti.

At the meeting, which took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex), was announced the “Proposal for a health project at the Haitian borders”, presented by Dr. Alejandro Báez, who accompanies this initiative “to explore the technical possibilities for its implementation on Haitian territory “.

The information was published in a press release sent by the Communications Department of the Dominican Chancellery.

The talks are the result of agreements reached in a joint statement signed by the Dominican president with his Haitian counterpart Jovenel Moïse, which seeks “the collaboration of the international community, which has shown its readiness to fund hospitals in Haiti to build hospitals.” on Haitian territory, located where the government of that country considers it appropriate, in order to reduce the intensive use of Dominican hospitals, a highly sensitive issue in the Dominican Republic ”.
