President Luis Abinader returned this Friday to the municipality of Santo Domingo Este, to give the first blow to start the finishing works of Hípica Boulevard, a day after he did the same on the Coronel Fernández Domínguez Highway
At a cost of 561 million pesos, The project to complete Hípica Boulevard includes four lanes, 3.50 meters wide, separated by a central island, sidewalks for pedestrians and contained on both sides.
The Minister of Public Works, Ascención Burgos indicated that the work will benefit 500 thousand people living in the area where the Hippodrome is located and whose works are scheduled to be completed in a period of 12 months.
“Aware that Santo Domingo Este deserves a change, the last Governing Council held a few weeks ago at the Municipal Palace established a commitment to carry out this work within the immediate priorities,” he explained.
The works include the completion of 4.4 kilometers to connect that road from the San Isidro highway to the Mella highway, facilitating north-south traffic in that boundary of the municipality of Santo Domingo Este.
Yesterday, the president gave the first pie to the expansion of Coronel Fernández Domínguez Boulevard, known as the San Isidro Highway, which will end right where Hípica Boulevard begins and will have an investment of 800 million pesos.
The president arrived at 10:02 a.m. in time to begin work.
