According to a note from the Presidency’s Communication Directorate, Abinader made his first visit to the border area and landed at various points along the line with Haiti.

The president arrived in the area by helicopter around 9:00 in the morning, right in the community of Carrizal, Punto Bandera, Elías Piña province, where the headquarters of General Antonio Duvergé’s army is located.
