A short Final Fantasy XIV anime? Yeah, I’m going to bite … hard

It’s my hometown FFXIV … in the form of anime

Square Enix simply can’t help but adapt Final Fantasy anime games. It’s kind of amazing, in fact, that there are extra things to discover (especially with FFXV shorts, which were undoubtedly more consistent than several springs in the game), but this time it’s a little more fleeting.

Distributed through Final Fantasy XIV The Korean YouTube channel, the video begins with a character of the player who wakes up in Limsa Lominsa, a bright seaside town (also my hometown) and one of the main centers of A reborn realm. Everything looks amazingly authentic, down to the ethereal, the character styles and the random performance of Bard on the streets. As a reminder, FFXIV has also had anime commercials, dating from 2019.

As for the recent one below, there are a lot of great photos here, most of which can be reproduced in the real game, from crafting to random training in the wild with your chocobo companion. I can’t wait to see how great everything will look (and will feel, depending on the framerate) on PS5.
