Maybe it was a full moon.
A Pakistani man has been detained for traveling the streets of Peshawar in a werewolf mask to scare people on New Year’s Eve, Indian Express reported.
Asad Khan, a resident of the city’s Moti neighborhood, reportedly made loud noises while riding a motorcycle, according to media reports, citing Saama TV.
The fur suspect had a choice with the police, saying he was not trying to scare anyone – he was just following the government’s mandate to wear a mask in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic.
Social media users yelled at the images of the short man, who is seen on a bicycle and later – still wearing a grotesque mask – chained to a police officer.
“Perhaps he did not want to risk such an epidemic. This mask is an infallible weapon in the fight against Covid-19 “. said a user on Twitter.
Another wrote: “People get scared and don’t go out in the new year in Covid times, everyone stays safe. Isn’t that a good thing? “
And a third he said in a tweet that the man “was reported to the police by a girl wearing a red hood.”
It was not immediately clear whether the suspect was charged.
