A man died after falling from a balcony on the 23rd floor of a building in Panama City Beach, in the northwest of Florida, United Statesauthorities reported Tuesday.
Police identified the victim as Timothy Ackerman, 31s, who apparently had problems opening the parachute.
That clarified Ackerman threw himself from a 23rd floor on Sunday and not 14 as reported.
It was a phone call Base Jump, which is illegal in Florida and involves jumping from solid objects, using a parachute to descend safely to the ground.
BASE stands for the abbreviation in English for four fixed objects that you can jump from: buildings, antennas, bridges and land (a cliff).
