“Judge, you’re so gorgeous”: The alleged Florida burglar finds that flattery doesn’t get him anywhere while hitting the judge during the virtual trial

  • Demetrius Lewis appeared before Broward County Judge Tabitha Blackmon on Thursday via Zoom
  • The accused murderer was amazed by the handsome appearance of the judge and began to flirt with her
  • “Judge, you’re so gorgeous … I just have to tell you you’re gorgeous,” Lewis sewed.
  • His flattery did not help his legal case much, with Judge Blackmon ordering Lewis to be detained with a $ 5,000 bond for attempted burglary.
  • He previously spent four years in prison for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon

A Florida man facing an attempted burglary charge is rumored to have flirted with the judge presiding over his case.

Demetrius Lewis appeared before Broward County Judge Tabitha Blackmon in a Zoom hearing Thursday on charges of trying to break into a Fort Lauderdale home while three children were sleeping inside.

The video of Lewis hitting Blackmon has since gone viral on social media, being viewed over a million times.

“How are you doing, how are you doing?” Lewis asks in the clip when he appears on the Zoom call.

The defendant notices Blackmon on the screen and says, “Judge, you’re so gorgeous … I just have to tell you you’re gorgeous.”

Lewis continues with his compliments, telling Blackmon that he “loves her.”

Blackmon looks a little amused by the remarks, before answering, “All right, Mr. Lewis. Flattery will take you everywhere. But maybe not here.

Indeed, Lewis’s affections of affection did not help much to impress the judge, who ordered him to hold a $ 5,000 bond.

Lewis previously spent four years in prison, according to The New York Post.

He was reportedly released in 2019 after serving time for a battery aggravated with a deadly weapon.

But while Lewis’ flirtation failed to give him freedom, he amused social media users.

– What do you have to lose right now? a Twitter user humorously asked below the video, which was shared by WSVN.

“You miss 100% of the photos you don’t take!” another was joking.

Meanwhile, others agreed with Lewis’ statement that Judge Blackmon was “gorgeous.”

“I don’t blame him!” one entered.

Last year, Blackmon was named to the Seventeenth Florida Judicial Circuit County by Governor Ron DeSantis.

Previously, she was a prosecutor at the State Prosecutor’s Office and a prosecutor at the General Prosecutor’s Office.
