A 4-year-old British girl accidentally hanged herself in the tree

A 4-year-old girl from Great Britain accidentally hanged herself in a tree just days after she became the sister of the twins – and her mother has now talked about the “storm of her hell of grief” following the tragedy.

Freya Thorpe was wearing a bicycle helmet when she climbed a tree near her home in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire, in September 2019, the South West News Service reported.

He slipped and fell, but the helmet strap caught on the tree and he died despite the efforts of the emergency interventions.

“I’m a broken person, caught in a storm of hell,” said Elise, Freya’s mother, reports The Sun.

“We live every day and night in hell, torture, shock and pain that cannot be understood,” she said.

The devastated mother told SWNS that she and her husband “were in the new cloud after the long-awaited arrival and difficult pregnancy” of twins Kiera and Zack – and added that she would have taken her own life if she had not given birth 10 days earlier. early.

“A brother and sister that Freya had been waiting so patiently for nine long and difficult months to become a big sister,” she told reporters.

“In the early afternoon, Dad had to leave to collect special milk from Cowley’s Boots Pharmacy for twins because they were allergic to cow’s milk,” Elise said.

Freya had been invited to a play meeting in a house a 10-second walk away from a sleeping bag, where parents “confidently let their children play,” the mother said.

But on the fateful day, Freya ventured outside without her mother’s knowledge.

Freya Thorpe was admitted to John Radcliffe Hospital.

“I had the feeling that I wanted her at home. Shortly afterwards, I saw an ambulance at the end of the road – I panicked, at that moment not knowing why I was panicking, “Elise told SWNS.

“I called my husband to tell him I would bring her home. He said, “No, I’m five minutes away, stay with the kids,” she said.

“I saw his car pass by and not come back from the little cul-de-sac. I knew something was wrong, “she added.

When she saw her husband with a firefighter, she grabbed the twins and rushed to a surrounding area, where she saw the first responders working desperately at Freya.

After waiting two days at John Radcliffe Hospital, she and her husband were informed that their daughter could not be rescued.

“I have never been in my house before. This is something I have lost and am losing to this day – my home, ”said Elise.

“If I hadn’t been born just 10 days before, we would have taken our lives in the hospital that night, without a shadow of a doubt,” she said.

“We have had so much support over the last 18 months and we can’t tell you all how much it has helped us and for that I can never thank everyone enough for their support, kind words and donations – even from those who we never met them “, continued the mother.

“But I also experienced examination and abuse from people who asked, ‘Where were the parents?’ How could he leave her alone? “She added.

“It caused family breakups from relatives and lawsuits, because people didn’t know Freya wasn’t in our care when this happened.”
