Call of Duty: WarzoneThe Verdansk map is gone, at least for now. As part of the final event of season 2 of the game, which will lead directly to season 3, a massive launch of nuclear missiles into the game removed the entire map. Or that’s what happened if your game didn’t crash.
The launch of the missiles was part of a War zone event that even took its own special playlist called “The Destruction of Verdansk, Part 1” and certainly lived up to its level. The event started just like a normal match War zone. However, the areas of infection that have been around the map in recent days have begun to grow slowly before taking over almost the entire map.
Every time the players died anywhere on the map, they returned like zombies, leading to a match that was almost entirely zombies until the end. As the map was completely outdated, a radio warning appeared to leave Verdansk as a nuclear launch was launched. However, it appears that the warning came a little too late and a few seconds later, a nuclear missile exploded on Verdansk, apparently destroying the map. After that, the game ended and the players returned to the main menu.
Unfortunately, the mode turned out to be a little too popular for Call of Duty servers. For most players, the mode made several attempts to reach the intended conclusion, as the game was affected by accidents that ended the matches earlier. Fortunately, Raven has released a new update that he says should help prevent these blocking problems.
Currently, the only option on the menu is to enter the “Destruction of Verdansk, Part 1” mode again, but it may disappear when the event ends at 17:00 EDT. After the event disappears, we may see the next time War zone, at least according to the Raven Software program.
