Apple has announced a new color for the iPhone 12 line: Purple. It’s the same basic iPhone 12, but purple. It will be available on April 30, with pre-orders starting April 23.

Apple has also announced an update to the Apple Card, which is linked to your iPhone and was previously only available to individual users. Now, Apple will allow partners and spouses to split and merge their credit limits into a single account. The Apple Card family will allow children over the age of 13 to share an Apple card with the family and give parents control over the limits.

Apple Podcasts has also received an update, with a new interface that makes it easier to find and share podcasts. Podcast subscriptions are also launched, allowing podcast users to subscribe and pay for their favorite shows. It will be launched in May in 170 countries.

AirTags are finally official. New labels can be customized and attached to just about anything. Track the tag using the Find Me app, and the iPhone 12 will find the lost item more accurately using a feature called Precise Search.

The phone will give you visual, audio and haptic feedback – it will take you directly to the lost AirTag.

AirTag tags are $ 29 each or $ 99 for a pack of four. Orders start on April 23 and deliveries start on April 30.

After presenting a preview of the second season of the hit show Ted Lasso, which will be released on July 23, Apple has announced the new Apple TV 4K with an A12 Bionic processor.

The updated Apple TV will play HDR content, and now AirPlay will support high-frame HRD for watching your iPhone 12 videos recorded in Dolby Vision HDR.

Another cool feature will use your iPhone’s camera to scan the TV’s color balance, then give this data to the new Apple TV. In turn, you should see improved picture quality and colors without having to adjust the TV yourself.

Most importantly, the Apple TV remote control has a completely new design. In the end! There’s an iPod-like circle for washing in a video, with a power button to control your TV, and the Siri button is now on the side of the case.

Pre-orders will go live on April 30, with the 32 GB model priced at $ 179. Shipments will begin in the second half of May.

iMac becomes Apple Silicon, add new colors

Apple has updated its iMac range with the biggest redesign that the all-in-one desktop has seen in recent years. Not only does the exterior of the new iMac look different with seven new colors, but the interior now boasts an Apple Silicon, M1 processor.

The new iMac comes in a new size, a 24-inch Retina display of 4.5K. Internally, the design has changed to reduce the size of the fans and made them quieter.

The FaceTime camera now records in 1080p, improving the overall performance of the camera for Zoom calls that we all find all day. There is also an array of three microphones, which makes it easy to call from the other end to hear you and block any background noise.

Apple promotes camera and microphone setup as the best the company has ever put on a Mac. The speakers also receive an update, with enhanced sound from a six-speaker system that brings spatial audio to the Mac for the first time. This feature was only found in Apple AirPods, and I expected it to target more products.

There are several ports on the back that make it possible to connect accessories, but the most notable change to the iMac is the magnetic power connector that uses a hub to provide an Ethernet connection.

Apple has also announced a new Magic keyboard with Touch ID, a first, which will come with the iMac. This is the first time Touch ID will be available on any Mac outside the MacBook line.

The new iMac will be available for pre-order starting April 30 and will be delivered in the second half of May. Prices start at $ 1,299 for four main colors or $ 1,499 for additional colors and features.

iPad Pro is also Apple Silicon

Apple launched new iPad Pro models just last year, with the 2020 model of the high-end tablet. This year, Apple is refreshing both the 12.9-inch iPad Pro and the 11-inch iPad Pro.

The update adds the same M1 processor that Apple uses in its Mac to iPad Pro range. This is the first time an iPad shares the same processor with a Mac. The M1 processor in the new iPad Pro is 50% faster than the iPad Pro in 2020. This is a huge leap from year to year in performance. Graphic performance is up 40% from the iPad Pro last year.

A new 2 TB setup will be released, allowing you to keep up to 60,000 RAW photos on your iPad – you know, if you like it.

The USB-C port gains Thunderbolt 4 support, giving it 4 times more bandwidth. External storage and better support for external monitors will benefit from the new Thunderbolt port.

The iPad Pro will also now have a 5G cellular connection for those who want to prove their investment. This includes mmWave support for faster 5G networks here in the US.

The Pro cameras on the iPad Pro also received an update with improvements to the LiDar scanner for AR applications and battery image processing thanks to the M1 processor.

The front camera has not been moved, but has a new ultra-wide camera that Apple calls the “Center Stage.” When you participate in a video call, the camera will zoom in and out and follow you through the camera.

Apple has also updated the iPad Pro display with a Mini LED display, calling it Liquid Retina XDR. The new screen has 1000 nits of brightness, with 1600 nits of maximum brightness and a color contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1.

The 11-inch iPad Pro will start at $ 799. The 12.9-inch model will have the new Mini LED display and starts at $ 1,099. Orders open on April 30, and deliveries begin in the second half of May.
