Jordan Henderson, captain al Liverpool, issued a statement rejecting the European Superliga on behalf of the English team’s players.
“We don’t like it and we don’t want it to happen,” said Henderson, the captain of the English team who spoke on behalf of his teammates.

“He’s in our team position. Our commitment to this football club and its fans is absolute and conditioned. ‘You’ll never go it alone,'” Henderson added.

The statement comes just hours after Chelsea and Manchester City revealed their plans to leave the European Super League.
Liverpool, one of the twelve founding clubs, has not yet commented on the matter, but team legend Kenny Dalglish has said he hopes to make the right decision.
“We don’t like it and we don’t want it to happen. This is our collective position. Our commitment to this club and its supporters is absolute and unconditional. You will never go it alone.”
