Emilia Clarke joins “Secret Invasion” at Marvel Studios

Emilia Clarke is in final negotiations to join Marvel Studios’ “Secret Invasion,” the original hot series that quickly reunites at Disney Plus.

The role of the “Game of Thrones” headliner is naturally undercover and marks her first foray into the Marvel universe. He joins the previously reported cast Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Olivia Colman.

Marvel Studios declined to comment on the matter. Clarke’s representatives did not immediately comment on the matter.

“Secret Invasion” was announced last year as a development property, one of Marvel’s many planned titles for Disney Plus. Jackson resumes his role as Nick Fury in the MCU, while Mendelsohn will play Skrull Talos as he did in the feature film “Captain Marvel”. “

The series is said to be aimed at a group of aliens who change shape, who have been infiltrating Earth for years. Ben-Adir was established as a main villain. Kyle Bradstreet is attached to the writing and executive production. Kevin Feige’s unit produces the streamer series, as do all the other MCU titles, including the hits “WandaVision” and “Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”

Clarke is a four-time Emmy nominee for her portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen on HBO’s global “Game of Thrones” series, which just celebrated its 10th anniversary. She is also nominated for the Critics Choice Award and received the 2018 BAFTA Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year. Clarke is an AMPAS member and has also been noted as one of Time’s 100 most influential people. It is distributed by Range Media Partners, CAA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller and Gellman.

His films include the holiday film “Last Christmas,” “I Before You,” “Genisys Terminator,” and “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” He will play a role in the upcoming animated film “The Amazing Maurice”.
