Call of Duty: WarzoneThe new Sykov pistols have been overwhelmed since they came into play. Fortunately, the developer Raven Software intervenes with a massive nerve in the latest patch of the game to help them become a little less dominant.
The patch specifically targets the Sykov litany of strong attachments, not directly refining their combinations. The Sorokin 140mm automatic equipment now has an excellent extension of the hip focus, the Akimbo option reduces the movement speed by 5%, and the 80 round drum attachment reduces the movement speed by 5% and reduces the vision movement speed by 7%. While all of this should have an impact, the biggest nerve was the combination of the Akimbo and Sorokin 140mm Auto attachments, which now reduce Sykov damage by 25% when used together.
This cream of Sykov nerves are some of the most aggressive balance changes that have ever been introduced in War zone, but the weapon was strong enough to justify it. In fact, it’s hard to say if these changes will be enough to keep them away from the meta, but they’re a good start at least.
War zoneThe latest patch also brings a nerve to the RC-XD explosive car, a change that players have recently requested. Instead of being able to pick up RC-XDs at any shopping station, players can now only find them in isolation monitors.

Update: Raven Software changed its patch notes on April 19th. The original notes said that there was a 25% reduction in damage to Sykov when the Sorokin 140mm Auto attachment and the 80 round drum attachment were used together, but the damage reduction actually applies to the Sorokin 140mm Auto attachment and the Akimbo attachment. The story has been updated to reflect Raven’s change.
❗️ I corrected a mistake in the original notes.
The change applies to the Sorokin 140mm Auto combination and * – not to 80 round drums.
