Prince William and Kate Middleton honored Prince Philip with a post on Twitter after his royal funeral on Saturday.
The Duke of Edinburgh died on April 9 at the age of 99, and his nephew previously reflected on the consort’s commitment to family and work in a statement released shortly after confirmation of the news of Philip’s death.
However, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid another tribute to Philip shortly after the celebration of his life.
“The Duke of Edinburgh has been a devoted devotee to Her Majesty the Queen for almost 70 years, from Her Majesty’s accession in 1952 until her death.” the brief statement posted on their official Twitter page reads.

The words honoring Philip came with two photographs of the funeral, one standing behind Philip’s coffin and the other showing William and his brother, Prince Harry, along with other family members, following the coffin to St. Peter’s Chapel. George of Windsor Castle.
The royal couple were not the only ones to honor Philip shortly after the funeral. The Royal Family’s Twitter account he shared an image of Philip tilting his hat next to the caption: “In the loving memory of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.”

All eyes were on William and his younger brother, Harry, at the funeral, as it marked the first time they had seen each other at a public event, as an alleged breakup had occurred between them due to Harry’s decision to he was moving away from his higher royal duties. and move to California with his wife, Meghan Markle. The crack in the family only intensified last month, following Harry Meghan’s bomb interview with Oprah Winfrey.

However, the duo sparked rumors of reconciliation after they were seen coming out of St. George’s Chapel together, side by side.

In addition to Princes William and Harry, the rest of Philip’s eight grandchildren also participated – Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn.

Harry, 36, did not walk with his brother William, 38, during the procession. The two joined family members walking behind their grandfather’s coffin, along with their cousin Peter Philips who was walking among them.
