Watch this video with a Tesla Model 3 that makes some crazy donuts while the tires smoke.
Although the description of the video states otherwise, this electric tire shredder featured in this video is a Model 3. The various adjustable settings of Tesla, including Track mode, allow the car to perform tilting movements like these endless donuts.
Although we do not advise you to perform stunts like this on public surfaces, it certainly looks like a roar and that the Model 3 is perfectly designed to break its tire.
InsideEVs’ Kyle Conner himself showed a Tesla Model Y moving on a runway (the right place for such shenanigans) and is also able to go sideways at will, provided the appropriate settings are chosen.
However, the notion of electric cars that more closely resembles golf carts has been dispelled. Tesla cars are extremely fast on the line and can drift, make donuts and give some very respectable travel times of a quarter of a mile.
Other electric cars, including (but not limited to) Porsche Taycan, Ford Mustang Mach-E and Jaguar I-Pace can do the trick, so not only Tesla is capable of such a high level of performance.
Many of the future EVs, including Mercedes-Bez EQS, Hyundai IONIQ 5, Kia EV6, Lucid Air and others will also be high-performance vehicles. At the other end of the spectrum, future electric trucks like the Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T, GMC Hummer EV and many more promise the ability to be both on-road and extremely off-road.
All this just proves that electric vehicles can really do everything and that the days of comparing electric cars to golf carts are long gone.
