For 13 years, their pleas have fallen on deaf ears, but starting this week, Amazon is finally allowing Kindle owners to set the cover of the book they read as the lock screen cover. To activate the new Display Cover function, go to settings from Kindle, select Device options, then tap the switch next to it Show cover option. Unfortunately, not everyone with a Kindle will have access to the new Display Cover feature. Amazon says the only Kindle models that support this feature are Kindle (8th, 10th generation), Kindle Paperwhite (7th, 10th generation), Kindle Oasis (8th, 9th) -a, 10th generation) and Kindle Voyage (7th generation). In addition, ad-supported versions of these devices will not support the feature, but you can move to an ad-free experience by following these steps:

  • Visit Amazon.com and click Content and devices option under Your account.
