Last month I reported on an artist named Daniel “Danny Cortoons” Cortes who dedicated himself to drawing each Super Smash Bros. character. Ultimate in the style of the rubber hose of the 1930s, probably better known in our community today as the “Cuphead style”.
Well, he’s done with the bastard (except for the two remaining DLC characters he promises to add once they’re revealed) and today he posted a massive “everyone is here” banner for us to appreciate.
“After several months and over 120 characters, here is each #SmashBrosUltimate character in a style inspired by # Cuphead / # Rubberhose / # 1930Cartoons !! Everyone is here !! ” says Cortes. “Thank you guys for your support throughout this project, I look forward to sharing more in the future!”
Today marks the 88th day of this project, which means that Cortes has faithfully attracted almost three full months at this time. We’ve rounded up a few images of groups of characters together so you can see them in less detail. The Minecraft, Dragon’s Quest and Wii-Fit characters, for example, can be viewed in the gallery below.
