Updating the LEGO Mario firmware makes him start the call for Luigi

After a firmware update this week, LEGO Mario began calling its long-lost brother, Luigi, who has not yet received official LEGO treatment. As reported by Eurogamer, the filming of this smart, if a bit of obsessive marketing appeared on Twitter thanks to those like @AyliffeMakit, showing LEGO Mario waking up from a nap and calling Luigi. IGN has confirmed that this works and will happen if you update the LEGO Mario firmware, let it go to bed after a minute or so and then wake it up. It took me about 20 tries to get Luigi’s call, so keep that in mind!

Responding to a Facebook comment about a video of this update, LEGO said: “Now is a very creative way to attract his missing brother. I noticed that LEGO Mario started calling him, we are analyzing him and we hope to be clear about what is happening soon. Stay tuned! “

This seems to everyone, but confirms that Luigi will soon join Mario in LEGO form. Since its debut in 2020, LEGO has supported its Mario line with new expansion sets and more, and the addition of Luigi at some point should come as no surprise.

This news comes shortly after the infamous “Day Mario Died”, which ended the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. Who knows, now that Mario is out of the way, Nintendo could prepare for another year of Luigi! Obviously, we’re kidding … if not?If you’re still on the fence about whether or not you want to invest in LEGO Mario, be sure to check out our impressions of the set, which is actually pretty cool … once you click.
